PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Our Track 2026 season officially kicks off on Monday, March 16. All practices run from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Delta Hawks trains in both Davis and West Sacramento, giving families flexibility while maintaining one strong, unified team culture.

 

Weekly Practice Schedule

 

Mondays

  • Davis – Community Park

  • West Sacramento – Bridgeway Lakes Park

 

Wednesdays (Locations Alternate Weekly)

  • Davis – UC Davis Track

  • West Sacramento – Begin at Bridgeway Lakes Boathouse and transition to River City High School Track

  • Note: The first Wednesday practice on March 18th will be in Davis

 

All practices start promptly at 5:30pm.

Wednesdays alternate between cities to provide access to track facilities while continuing to build endurance and strength in park and trail settings. Athletes will be notified in advance each week regarding location details in the Blog and communicated in our Team App.

TRAINING SEASONS

Regular Season Team

  • A dynamic team experience where athletes of all levels train with intention, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of through competitive cross country or track.

  • Ideal for new runners, multi-sport athletes, and seasoned competitors ready to grow, race, and thrive within a supportive, team-first culture.

Post-Season Team

  • For athletes who are motivated to chase big goals and continue competing beyond the traditional season.

  • Designed for runners pursuing championship-level opportunities, including qualification for Nike Outdoor Nationals, USATF Junior Olympics, and other elite meets.

Off-Season Team

  • A foundation-building season focused on strength, endurance, and consistency, setting athletes up for long-term success in the sport.

  • Supports developing runners as they grow into the sport while helping experienced athletes maintain fitness, sharpen habits, and prepare for what’s next.

RACING DISTANCES

Our Hawks run the following distances at local and regional track meets, cross country meets, and road races:

  • 800 meters

  • 1500/1600 meters

  • 3000 meters (1.86 miles)

  • 1.5 mile cross-country course

  • 4000 meters (2.49 miles)

  • 5k (road races)
