2025 Cross Country Season Starts August 14th 

The Delta Hawks are dedicated to creating the next generation of confident and competitive elite distance runners in the Sacramento Region.

Why? Because we believe that distance running brings people together and builds character. Our team is made up of some of the most talented youth runners in the region as well as kids who are just getting started. If your child is 7+ * and has a desire to improve daily, contribute to a team and a willingness to do the work it takes to accomplish both then it may be time to have them try out for the Delta Hawks. *Must be 7 years old by January 1 of the current calendar year. 

Our two week try-out has nothing to do with speed or ability and everything to do with ensuring your child has an amazing experience as a young distance runner. What are we looking for?

• The athlete has a genuine interest in running and racing.

• The athlete can focus throughout practices.

• The athlete shows character in alignment with our five core values:

What does the Delta Hawks Cross Country Season Look Like?
- Kick-off: August 14th, 2025 at Bridgeway Lakes Park
- Season ends: November 2025
- Practice Days:

• Mondays at 5:30pm at Bridgeway Lakes Boat House (or alternate location)

• Thursdays at 5:30pm at Bridgeway Lakes Boat House, 3650 Southport Parkway, West Sacramento

• Sundays: Long Runs on your own or with a pod
