Training Options

Delta Hawks offers flexible, athlete-centered training programs that support young runners throughout the year. Serving athletes ages 8 and up, our programs combine experienced coaching, evidence-based training, and a strong team culture to develop fitness, confidence, and long-term success in the sport. Athletes may train during a single season, continue into the post-season for championship-level opportunities, or participate in off-season training to build and maintain strength and endurance. Whether an athlete is new to competitive running or working toward higher-level competition, Delta Hawks provides a clear and supportive pathway for growth and development.

What All Programs Offer

All Delta Hawks training options, including the Regular Season Team, Post-Season Team, and Off-Season Team, are built on the same foundation of experienced coaching, intentional development, and a strong team culture. No matter when an athlete joins, they will be supported in building fitness, confidence, and character while training alongside motivated teammates in a positive environment.

Experienced Coaching
All athletes are coached by knowledgeable, certified distance running coaches who provide age- and ability-appropriate instruction while emphasizing long-term athlete development.

 

Progressive, Athlete-Centered Training
Training is designed to safely develop endurance, strength, speed, and mechanics through structured, evidence-based progression appropriate for each stage of growth.

Team Practices and Coaching Support
Athletes participate in organized team practices with consistent coaching feedback and guidance across all phases of the training year.

Racing Opportunities and Support
Regular Season and Post-Season athletes receive coaching support at team-sanctioned meets. Meet entry fees for cross country and track competitions are included. Optional road races are parent-paid. Off-Season training does not require racing.

Character and Leadership Development
Every program emphasizes sportsmanship, accountability, and resilience. The Delta Hawks Three - Cs Capacity, Conditioning, and Courage - are woven into daily training and team expectations.

Community and Team Culture
Athletes train in a supportive environment that encourages effort, mutual respect, and celebrating progress. Building strong relationships and learning to support teammates is central to the Delta Hawks experience.

Regardless of training phase, every athlete is welcomed into the Delta Hawks culture of growth, commitment, and high-quality distance running development.
