Regular Season Drawing to a Close

PLEASE NOTE: Practice this week will be BACK at the Boathouse this week.

While there were no cross country meets this weekend, we had a number of Hawks (and parents!) run at the Clarksburg Country Run on Sunday. Shout out to all who won their age group races, including Isaac and Sonia in the 10k, as well as Amelia Weeks in the 5k. David and Kate also placed second in their 5k age groups. Way to go, Hawks!

Next Sunday we are competing in a USATF meet with age groups in Rancho Cordova. This will be the last cross country meet for all Hawks not joining us for the championship season. The meet will be held at Hagan Community Park, with parking at Cordova High School. The meet will begin at 11am so we need the younger athletes to arrive by 10am. The 13-14 age group can arrive at 11am. Please RSVP by tomorrow, the 3rd, on the TeamSNAP.

For those moving on after the Rancho Meet and who aren’t already part of the JO Plan, please email or text me directly so that we can be sure to add you to the list. We will bill you the $100 fee through the regular registration process. According to the USATF, we no longer will have a meet on Sunday, November 23rd. Further, the November 30th meet, which was scheduled to be in Fresno, will instead be held somewhere in the Bay Area. Thankfully, as of today, Nationals is still in Shelbyville, IN. As more details emerge, we will keep you updated.

Finally, I want to remind everyone – bring headlamps to practice going forward – it is going to be dark by the time we start practice.
