Hawks Tear it Up At SRA #1!

The Delta Hawks were KILLER at the first SRA Meet of the year last Friday. Every single Hawk who competed ran so well, I want to list everyone! Seriously, every Hawk fought fiercely the entire race, and we couldn’t have been prouder. The girl’s 6th-grade-and-under team finished second overall out of 28 teams, and the boy’s 6th-grade-and-under team ended up WINNING out of a field of 31 teams! We also had FOUR top-ten medalists: Josie (6th), Mia (10th), Pier (2nd), and Henry (8th). Sonia finished 13th, just out of the medals. Also, I have to send a big shout to Cam – who ran a 41 second PR over his time in this meet last year! In addition, we had a really great time camping over the weekend at Jenkinson Lake! David and his mom, Will and his mom, Evan, Mia, Isla and the Jacksons, Dalton and his parents, Pier and his family, and our family all had a fun outing and did some good running around the lake.
This coming weekend we have a break, no meet scheduled, but that means the long run needs to get done for sure! We are continuing to ramp up our workouts, but luckily the weather is cooling down so we should be ready to go on Monday!

Boathouse – 5:30pm

20 Tempo Run
Rock/Paper/Scissors
FRIDAY
Stretch and Recover
SATURDAY or SUNDAY
Long Run - 3-6 miles
