Distance Running Homo Sapiens

It is amazing to see how our Hawks improve over a season. So many of our youth start each year wondering if distance running is for them – by the end of the season they are all jogging together, chatting and joking, like distance running is part of their DNA. Scientists say that, in fact, it is part of our DNA! It brings us coaches such joy to experience this transformation each season.
This week the schedule is as follows:
MONDAY
Meet at the BOATHOUSE– 5:30pm
Swamp Loop!
200m Intervals
Black/Gray 8-10
White 5-8
TUESDAY
Stretch and Recover
WEDNESDAY
Run On Your Own
4-5 miles
THURSDAY
Boathouse – 5:30pm
15 min fartlek (2 on, 1 off)
4-6 Hill Sprints
FRIDAY
Stretch and Recover
SATURDAY or SUNDAY
Long Run
5-8 miles
